Feature: Moral Courage – Indispensable to healing
January 31, 2017
Guest post by Kathy Sublette, C.S. Sometimes when we’re praying for a healing, we can’t seem to make progress. It feels as if we’re just stuck forever on a plateau of struggle and frustration, but all the while, we are praying very diligently. Many times in this situation, it’s the exercise of moral courage that…Inside Scoop – Appreciation of the Arts: Vicci Sperry
January 31, 2017
An art appreciation event was held at Broadview with our guests in attendance on January 28th. It was inspired by the two paintings by Vicci Sperry that hang in the main hallway and were donated by Asher House Los Angeles, an organization offering housing for Christian Science college students and recent graduates who are new…The Practice Room – From Disruption to Purification

On November 25, 2013, our Activities and Volunteer Coordinator, Tracy Colerider-Krugh, introduced the idea of a “Practice Club” at Broadview for our guests to pray specifically for the world, our local communities & the facility. Looking back on 2016, we have seen many, many healings. Some were so quick that the guest didn’t unpack. Others evolved beautifully over weeks or months. Throughout 2016, Tracy provided our Broadview staff a retrospective of the different Thoughts of the Month that she had posted throughout her time at Broadview. At the end of the year, the administrative staff voted on…New Birth & Christian Healing
December 29, 2016
Guest post by Leslee Allen, C.S. When asked to support Christian healing at Broadview in early December as the “Practitioner of the Week,”* it dawned on me during my prayers that everyone involved with Broadview is dedicated to encouraging the “new birth” or spiritualization of thought and desire, as Mary Baker Eddy puts it in…Healing Moments – December 2016

Recently, I was putting away some dishes at work and felt a weird trembling and tingling in my arms. It was alarming, and at first I thought, "Did I carry something too heavy? Why am I having this weird sensation?” Immediately following those thoughts, however, came angel commands telling me not to look for a [material]…Feature: How can a Visiting Christian Science Nurse help you?
November 30, 2016
Broadview’s Visiting Christian Science Nurse Service is an extended arm of our facility. Visiting Christian Science nurses go into individual homes* and assist a variety of physical needs. Any supplies used are charged, but the Christian Science nurse’s time is provided on a donation basis. Despite the growing popularity of this Service in the past…The Practice Room – A Determination to Improve
